Elite Silly Gooses
Sorry! What the heck was that all about? Always have to worry when people use the word "elite" hehehehehehehehehe
eeek! how totally ironic - not kidding - just came here and saw your post after clicking away from that ibnd website to figure out what the heck it was and was thinking "hm, wonder why Jasmine isn't a member? " LMAO!
eeeeeeeeeeek I'm so glad you didn't go thru with that Jas! What a crock-ola of ego! That's sooooOOOoo not you!
Jasmine, your work speaks for itself IMHO. ;-). And of course, in Balto's.
I couldn't agree more....

oo-er...i havent posted a comment before...and i only got 2 choices...i don't have a live journal...but i'm not anonymous-i'm 1957kitty from the a&a board-evening!
we were discussing ibnd.....and the reason we were surprised about you(jas)joining was cos-you don't need to be like that!!!.....you are good enough to stand alone and take the slings and arrows of imitators.....i said on the a&a board-i admire your work ethic-keep up the wonderful work!
Hi Lea!!!! Hehe, thank you!!! >^_^< I just posted back at you there, hehe! ;)
Just out of curiosity (I'm taking the risk though I know curiosity killed the cat...), why did you cancel and relist instead of just revising the auction?
Because it already had bids! You can't revise an auction that already has bids. The only thing you can do is "add to the item's description" which only adds text at the end.
Ah - should have been obvious, but I rarely have bids, and I rarely revise my auctions...
Love your art. That print of Alice is in my sons room. I was going to put it in our living room, but he insisted. Can't argue with my 7 years old sonsun. He's too smart for me ;-)

Wow, this is crazy - IBND
This is the first time I've ever heard of IBND "elite" as they like to call themselves and I'm shocked at the out of proportion egos.
Apparently members are only invited to join if they're 'successful enough artists on eBay that their work has been copied by copy-cats.' So I guess those artists who are making 6 figure incomes on eBay but DONT have copy-cats are not successful or elite enough to be members...
The group encourages collectors to search "IBND" (imitated but never duplicated" in order to find "TRUE ORIGINALS" that are gallery quality... I guess if you're not a member you can't produce a true original of gallery quality, and everyone except these 5 people or so are just hopelessly struggling and imitating them in an attempt to be as great and successful and "elite" as they are.
What a bunch of you-know-what.
I'm just sorry to see that Girelli, Hurd and Osnat, three of the most known artists on eBay have become members, and proven that success does bring over-inflated, and out of proportion egos. I truly respected many of these artists until they showed their true colors.
Ahhhh there's a big convo going on about that group on EBSQ today!!!
The whole IBND thing is completely egotistical.. just because someone has been imitated doesn't make them an "elite" artist...It doesn't even necessarily make them a good one. How very sad. This is the first time I've ever heard of it...
I think it was just created, it only looks like it has a handful of members.
I agree, I prefer groups that are "all-inclusive" and have their arms open to all artists >^_^
I can understand when there is a group that is started to display some of the finest art of a certain type.. Such as www.depthcore.com which is a site only open to excellent artists..
I do have a problem though with the art groups that have members with a level of arrogance that borders the nonsensical.
hoo boy, that group sure is causing a stir!! o_O i've seen several posts about them now on some art forums.
