waiting for posty

i'm getting stuff ready for the post office. matt ought to be home any minute, and he's going to take me to mail some stuff. i've got to mail 7 prints and 2 paintings, not too bad, sometimes i have to mail dozens of things. i hate taking up so much time at the post office. in a few months after we move to florida i'll be living within TWO BLOCKS of the post office (maybe even next door, depending on which unit we get!). that will be sooo nice - i can just walk right over and mail things whenever i need to. right now, i just mail things twice a week. when i can walk right next door i can mail things everyday if i want. i can send peoples' artwork out the minute i get their payment. that'll be nicer for my customers too.

my dad's birthday is friday - i'm still not sure when he's going to have his party. i HOPE his present hurries up and comes in the mail - otherwise i'll have to make it his christmas present, lol. or maybe i'll print out a picture of it and let him know that it's on the way. i would go check the mailbox right now, but it looks cold out ::whimper whimper:: i'm just not built for this climate.

i bought these yummy chips at costco - they are guacamole chips! they're green and spicy and have avacadoes in them. i made some nachos for lunch with them and some grated sharp cheddar, refried beans, fresh cilantro, green onions, tomatoes, hot jalapenos, black olives, salsa, crumbled vegetarian sausage, and sour cream. damn, they were good! i've been craving mexican food a lot lately - it makes me warm and cozy.

i need to buy some diet vanilla coke - i've had to resort to drinking tap water. kansas city has some nasty tap water - i can only drink it if it is ice cold with lime juice and a straw.

we're going to kachina's house tonight - yay! i think i'll bring the gamecube and show chichi Super Smash Bros.
