she be beautiful. ^_____^
hee hee. i like your disclaimer "Beware - partial nudity, tasteful-mermaid style, but don't click the link if you don't want an accidental glimpse of bosoms." made me laugh. you funny girl. i am guessing people get all touchy about it or something?
Lol, yeah- a long time ago, the first time I put one of my nudes online, somebody asked me to please warn them first, lol. Just to be safe! I have some fans who are still in elementary school and stuff, so better safe than sorry =)
huh, who knew...? wel apparently you did. that is very kind and responsible of you to watch out for the young'uns.
Beautiful! :) LOL! Ya, I had to wait till Ian was out of the room to look at this one and a few of your other recent beauties ;) I like the "warning" :) Ian doesn't need pictures of ta-tas just yet. Hehe! He did catch a glimpse of one of Del's mermaids a while back when I was scrolling my friends page and was quite embarrassed!
Hehe, that is a funny disclaimer :) I saw this one on your webcam and I knew it was gonna be great! I love her expression!
I like her hair floating around her and I like that she is behind the seaweed. Great picture as usual!!
she's beautiful! but why you always hid her hands on your painting? it is too long to painted?
Hehe, that sometimes happens when I base the painting on a photo - in this case the photo I based it on (it's a self-portrait) her hands aren't there because I took the photo of myself and I'm holding the mouse in my hand to click and take the picture, lol!!!!
ah ok!so is you nude!Beautiful! :P
Lol, yeah - that's why I was taking my webcam offline for a little while yesterday hehe ;)
And that's why there's no moving icon for this one =P
is a great idea for the seaweed, i've had the same idea but it take too much more time to painted, so i've trow this idea out of my head!maybe next time:)
and tomorow is the new years!!!! party wooohhoooo!!! :P
Is New Year's popular for celebrating in Canada like it is in the US?
yes of course.i think is celebrating in a lot of country.
She's quite breathtaking, quite a real mermaid...you'd be surprised at how many pictures there are out there that are quite definitely not mermaids, just people wanting to look at nudity.
This painting is beautiful:)
I think you hit the nail right on the head with that comment. I think I was quite impressed at hor realistic it looks, i mean how i would imagine a mermaid to look, coolness loxey girlie
Ah no, I just use water to thin my acrylics. Basically I just do dozens upon dozens of thin little layers to get the smooth effect I like! They dry almost instantly, so it doesn't take as long as you might think, hehe. I've found, for my method, the fastest drying paint the better! Rather than mixing the colours on the canvas, I mix them on the palette first and than tweak the transparencies with water when I build up the layers - usually starting with more opaque, darker shades and building up to lighter colours, with a finish of a transparent colour (usually modulating in hue depending on the surrounding colours). Not nearly as fancy as it sounds, but it works well for me!
Great work and composition Jaz'-makes me almost want to paint mermaids myself again.
