I love it! I especially like the shade on the red lips and the perfect snowflakes :) How did you know how to paint those snowflakes?
Thank you!!! Hehe, I do several layers on the snowflakes (darker and more transparent, working up to lighter and more opaque white), so it evens out any blatant mistakes, lol. I learned that trick a couple of years ago when I was trying to paint a picture of some sparkly Christmas lights for some reason.....
Well you've mastered it! hehe
That nose is too cute, Matt's gonna grab it! Or maybe that's why it's a little red already lol!
I love her soooooooo much! She's the cutest thing, she makes me happy just looking at her. Have a great trip, enjoy your family and that new baby :)
Her cheeks and nose are so rosy, she reminds me of a little Santa Fae:)
It's really cute! I love her mischevious look :).
Jasmine, this painting is GORGEOUS and if I wasn't so strapped for cash, I would probably bid on it.
I think your work just keeps getting more and more beautiful. I notice that a lot of the faeries that you paint seem to look like you lately, and I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I think is a nice touch. You seem to be adding a cute, mischevious glint in their eyes which I think is reflected in the few photos I've seen of you (mainly your userpics).
Keep up the beautiful work... and may I suggest, you should paint a faery that has kind of a "gypsy" style to her! Not that gypsies and faeries necessarily go together, but I think it could be fun. :)
Thank you so much!!!!!!
Oh my - I would LOVE to do a gypsy piece! Hehe, I was a gypsy last year for Halloween - I should dig out those pics!
she's so splendiferous I want to weep. ^_____^
Jasmine, how do you blend your colors together so well? 0_o
Hehe, I'm not really sure how I do it - it's almost like my hands do it without me thinking about it. I think a lot of it is just being very patient - I use lots and lots of tiny thin layers of paint, and sometimes having one colour underneath a thinner transparent colour on top will give a very different effect than having just one layer of the two colours mixed together. Lol - did that even make sense?
hehe yup, made sense to me! thank you for sharing! i'll have to give it a whirl meself. ^____^
This one is one of my favorites of yours! :)
