Marie Masquerade

I'm moving!

For those of you who don't already know....

It's official! We're moving! Don't worry - we're still going to live here in Celebration of course, we're just moving to a nice new 2-story townhouse so we can have more space =)

Also, from now on I am going to be using the following address, so please update your records (for payment, orders, etc.):

Jasmine Becket-Griffith
PO BOX 470932
Celebration, FL 34747-0932

I will be moving over the course of the next two weeks. I will still be processing orders, painting when I can, and doing the general eBay stuff. All of that will continue uninterrupted as normal!!!!!!! However, please excuse me if I am a little absent here at LiveJournal, or a little slower than usual to respond to personal emails, etc. I'm going to be supremely busy because of the move, and there might be a short period where I'm without internet access, etc. The webcam may be going off and on, etc. If anybody needs to contact me with anything very important feel free to email me with "VERY IMPORTANT" or "EMERGENCY" in the subject line of the email!

Anne Rice is moving to Florida, and is selling her house in the Garden District of New Orleans. I've been there, and it's a gorgeous house - many of her books actually take place in it! I'm currently reading "The Witching Hour" (for the umpteenth time) and most of the book is set in that very house. I looked it up on Realtor.com and found the listing:

Anne Rice's House

There are no photos there, but Anne has some interior shots on her site: http://www.annerice.com/ano_firststreet.htm and here's an exterior shot: http://www.angelfire.com/va/eternalfire/images/House1.jpg

AAAAH! Why can't I win the lottery???? I'd sooo buy it as a second home.....

Oops! I was doing a sketch for a private commission, and then when I was done I started painting a new original and I forgot to post the link!

It's a "Mardi Gras"/Masquerade type piece - I've sketched (painted, rather) in several masks and I'll see where it goes from there........... It's a really big piece, 20"x16" and will have kind of a Gothic feel to it - I've already put in my "Plague Doctor" character as well....

You can watch me here!
