Marie Masquerade

We just came back from Kachina's house - it is soooo nice to have a car with a heater in it! Our old van of course, had a broken heater, which is absolutely dreadful in the sub-zero wasteland that is Kansas City during winter. We had a lot of fun - played board games with Kachina and Amber, had some yummy food, watched some silly TV, etc.

I need to go to the post office tomorrow (er, today, er, in a few hours) and mail about twenty some paintings/prints out to customers. How fun. I have to go to the bank too. Poor Matt, always ends up chauffeuring me aroud on his days off so I can run errands. When Gristle (my old car) died, I just canceled my car insurance since I figured I wouldn't get a new car until after we move (and hey, I've got Matt!). I rather like not having the responsibility of driving. I hate driving - I don't see very well even with my lenses, I get lost incredibly easy, I faint very easily, and I prefer walking for fun and exercise. I definitely plan on getting a car eventually, but I don't think I'll be in a particular hurry to buy one soon after we get settled or anything.

I know I have a TON of email to answer. I've been getting a lot of junk mail - I saw ELEVEN emails trying to convince me to buy Viagra online, lol. Actually, one of the emails was written to Kachina - since I was technically the one who bought her plane tickets online her name seems to have been associated with my email address, hehe.

As usual...

Guess what I'm doing?

.....yep! I'm painting =)

I'm working on my Vampire commission again - I should be done with her tonight (unless I encounter any big distractions).

Some guy came to my door today with what looked like a bottle of shampoo with no label on it. I kept the glass door locked between us (since Matt was in the shower, lol) and he just kinda blinked at me. I asked, "Well, what is it?". He said "I'm from the apartment above you. Would you like to buy some of this?". I said, "Well, what is it?" (again). And he said "It's Cleaning Product". (It's Cleaning Product? WTF?). I said, "NO." and I closed and locked the door. It was very odd. He didn't have but one bottle on him, with no sorts of order forms or boxes or anything. He didn't stop at any of the other apartments either (I watched him after he left). I don't think that he lives in the apartment above us. One of the apartments above us has a middle-aged couple, and the other apartment above us has about six guys in their 20s and one girl(?). This guy who came to the door was about my age and definitely white (the folks above us are black). Maybe they got a new roommate. Weird.

Speaking of the guys who live above us - they CONSTANTLY are smoking pot. I don't really care about that, but they do it with all of their windows open (I get a buzz just checking the mailbox, lol) and play REALLY LOUD MUSIC at the same time. And... the guy who lives above them is a cop! Lol, I'm glad I'm moving =)

Shareholder stuff

Matty came home from work early today. It was slow at work so he got cut and had to come home. He brought in the mail and I got my annual Shareholder package from Disney - voting instructions, prospectus, earnings info., etc. The best part is the cool glossy magazine-like book they send that updates us about all of the Disney-related stuff that's going to happen this year =)

I'm not feeling great - I've got a terrible headache and I think I'm going to call it quits for tonight and have some dinner. I've got mountains of email, but it will still be waiting for me tomorrow, hehe.
