art rant - revised:

I just edited this post - I was in a foul mood and ranted considerably about artists who copy other artists' work either because they cannot create their own style or simply do not understand the notion ov copyright. The gist of it was "I do NOT think that imitation is a form of flattery, so don't copy other artists' work or styles (especially mine). Grrr."

Sorry to those who didn't get to read it, I just don't like keeping too many negative thoughts floating around.

I just worked out some of my negative frustrations by getting rid of stuff I'm not taking with me to Florida. I think I threw away 7 bags of junk.

Hehe

I just finished the Simpsons. The first new one (the 300th episode) was ok, but I was hoping they'd do something special for the 300th episode - maybe a retrospective or something. Hehe, at least they gave a nod to the fact that it is the 302nd episode (NOT the 300th, but oh well).

I really liked the second one though. I was a spelling bee nerd growing up (Nationals! Woohoo!), and it really "hit home." Lol, as much as I find Lisa annoying I'll be the first to admit that I've got a lot in common with her (hmmm... spelling bee, self-righteous, vegetarian, etc.). Even more astonishingly, I also had the word "ameliorate" at one of the state spelling bees! They even would run similar news segments to the one Kent Brockman did. I'm not usually big on "Lisa-Centric" episodes, but I really enjoyed this one.
