Good afternoon! [Sep. 29th, 2003|03:43 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I received my advance copies of "The Art of Faery" - it looks so beautiful! I love it! It's just the sort of book that I would have bought for myself even if I had nothing to do with it, hehe. I should be getting a shipment of additional copies shortly to stock my website and eBay store =) So within the next couple of weeks I will have signed (and personalized upon request!) copies available both on eBay and on my website. I'll update here, on my site and on my mailing list when they are available!

Those of you who have pre-ordered on Amazon.com or are planning on purchasing from a local bookstore are welcome to send me your copies to sign or personalize (just include return postage, please!) - simply email me for the address =)

The book is just so pretty - I keep looking at it! My pages are right near the front (it looks like they went in alphabetical order, which works well for me, lol). I've got two pages, with a couple of my paintings, brief bio, and some quotes from me. There's also a very nice plug for my website. In the back index of the book there's even a photograph of me painting, along with my email address and another website plug. I'm guessing that soon I'll be receiving even more email, hehe. Which reminds me - if anybody has written me in the past few days I will try to get to some email answering tonight!

Now however, I'm getting ready to paint! I'm working on a monochromatic piece (self-portrait so far) with red eyes. I hope to finish and list this piece for sale on eBay tonight, along with a piece I finished over the weekend (which I LOOOOVE!!!!). I will update soon!

You can watch me here!

Re: Save me one!!!

I'm still waiting on my US distributor - the UK folks have their shipments already, but the US warehouse is still empty, lol. I just got my advance copies directly from the publishers. I'll let you know as soon as I get my stock in!

As Jasmine takes her place on the podium, having just graduated with the highest of honors ever bestowed on a Strangeling, all the Faeries, Elves, MerPeople, Nymphs, and Gothlings in the Kingdom go wild!! "SPEECH! SPEECH!!" they cry. Now that Jasmine has the ear of the Faeries and is about to clear her throat, one of the tiniest pea-pod pixies in the joint clamors to the top of the unruly netherworld pile and asks, "Now that you've been published, published with Grand Poobah Froud no less, how will you ever respond to all of the e-mails you will be receiving?" The room is so quiet, even the chirping crickets are at a loss. As this story was passed on to me by one of the attendees of the "Art of Faery" book release ceremony, I can only imagine the fleeting look of madness as it crossed Jasmine's face.

Okay, okay! You will be fine!! So, CONGRATULATIONS JASMINE!! And if there are any Faery Godmothers, Gothmothers, or Oddmothers out there that can bestow on Jasmine the sanity to keep up with her e-mails, please come forward!

Take Care! Good Luck! And Stay Sweet Strangeling!

hooray and quick questions

poo--i had a longer post, but i wasn't logged in anymore and LJ ate it for a late night snack.

2 quickies then:

would you be interested in doing a write up for the zine to promote your book and to talk a little about the experience of being involved?

also, may we use your alchemist's plague to pimp october's featured gallery(fantasy art--yay!)? your watermarks, of course, would remain intact.

lemme know, and we're so proud of you!!!
