*awesome*

i got an email from Linda at the Celebration apartments letting me know that we have been approved! i am too happy! first try! i can't wait!

she told me that we are on the priority waiting list for March, and she will let me know asap when the floorplan we want will be available. they generally know 2-3 months before the current tenants intend to vacate, so if an apartment will be available in march she would be able to tell us by december or january, and so on. that will give us plenty of time to get everything ready to move.

i am so happy!

unfortunately, matt came home sick today (i blame the awful weather we have all of the sudden), but he still is excited. i ordered some pizza online to celebrate.

let me see - (i'm just dizzy with excitement now) - what else is new...

i've got new paintings! i have two new Vampire Nymphs (#5 & #6):

and i have a portrait of Elizabeth Bathory:

and a "Brown Fairy"

- i've put all of them up on eBay. i've also put up my submission for the EBSQ+ "Fractured Fairy Tales" show - it's a two piece set called "Sometimes a Frog is Just a Frog":

the frog set (i'm selling both paintings together) and the elizabeth bathory piece i started at $100 since they are ebsq+ listings. the others all start at a penny. i wonder if the $100 pieces will get any bids? it's strange, even though i often sell pieces for $100+ on eBay (when i start them at a penny), people still don't always want to start the bidding that high. we'll see...

now, i'm excited to look online for stuff about our new apartment (floorplans, photos, maps, etc.) and the surrounding area (i'll try and find out where local health food stores are, etc.). how fun!

Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious

I doubt seriously I spelled that correctly.

Yay apartment approval!! That's so exciting! So I guess you're Florida bound then. :) Perfectly fabuladabulous. I just made up that word... It's a bit of a mouthful.

Your paintings are really fabulous too. I love the frog ones, they're so cute! :)

Plague Doctors

I think you had been interested in seeing my plague doctor / THUNDERTHIEF costume. (I didn't realise that it was modeled after a plague doctor at the time)

I finally got the pics scanned:

I hope that the images show up *crossing fingers*

You know, I don't think Ann has seen these yet either. If this works, I'll post them on my journal too.

Re: Plague Doctors

oh wow!

that is a fabulous costume - it is one of the creepiest things i've ever seen! way better than a storebought mask. you've got his little stick and everything - that is perfect!
