Good Morning! [Aug. 20th, 2003|11:46 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Ah, I'm going to have a little lunch, read some email, and then get back to work on "Nothing Wrong with a Little Voodoo". You can watch my progress here. I'm just about through! I really love how this one is coming out - I can tell that it's one I'd like to keep for myself. But, since already this month I'm getting two of my originals back from a trade-in with the Dragon's Gallery, so I really need to sell her =( Matt was sad, he gets sad when I sell pieces that look particularly like me (he wants to hoard them for himself). It's kind of a strange painting, so I don't know how well-received it will be, but ah well - it's something I wanted to paint. I'll probably work on a mermaid after this one, well maybe.

Matt & James are at Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure today!

We might go buy a bed soon (after James leaves, maybe in the next two weeks or so). I already know which one we're getting - it's a glorious dark-wood sleigh-bed, and it will look great with my Bengal Road bedding set I've kept tucked away still in the original plastic for the past year or so. Along with the bed there are some matching night-stands, dressers, armoire, etc that I want to get as well. And a new TV to put in the armoire =). I don't know if I'll get it all at once - I'll probably start with just the bed.

OK - lunch, email, PAINT!

I slept mostly on the floor as a teenager, then a couch, then after I married we slept on a futon, and since then it's just been the floor. I think it's time I had a proper bed, lol!

You are welcome to paint me as a mermaid =) I would love to see her!

yes you guys need a bed! man, i dont know how you guys can stand to sleep on the floor for so long. we have a pillow top and i LOOOOOOOOOVE my bed! its the most comfortable bed we have ever had. we used to have an old water bed and i would always get my head stuck between the mattress and the wood frame and wake up with bumps and bruises:P we have a little sleigh bed frame to, its cute.

Love the sleigh bed, is Matt putting jingle bells on it for Christmas? You have very expensive taste Jasmine!

I missed the final result of the painting because I didn't have to get up for Scott this morning so I slept in.

Hehe - not really - I bought the entire bedding set (which retails for about $1200 normally) for about 1/6 that price! They were factory seconds, allegedly with a single discoloured thread in each piece (which I looked over intensively and could not find!). That's the reason I bought it - I had long admired it at Linens'N'Things, and it was so expensive! When I saw it for so cheap, I went ahead and bought it all even though I knew I wouldn't even have a bed for a couple of years, lol.

hehe - i haven't had a proper bed since i was little. and even then it was a water bed. I've always slept like a hippie with just a mattress on the floor or on the floor itself with just my blanket. ;)
