well at least you had a nice time with your family:) i only had one flight cancelled on me and it was a flight to alaska that was cancelled because of a volcano eruption! we were able to catch another plane the next day when most of the ash had settled and i still have a little jar of the ash around here somewhere:)
sorry about your flight! :(
SOrry to hear about the rough ride home :( I think Delta has got to be the worst airline for me! Poor customer service during flight and their planes seem to be more packed than others that i have to meditate during the whole flight telling myself "I am not in a sardine can!"
And WELCOME BACK I missed you but nobody else missed you as much as MATT I can attest to that =D
I also got my love print in the mail thank you, Scott and I love it :)
Ugh, I don't think I'll fly Delta again. I'd rather pay an extra $20 and get a direct flight with the good people at Southwest! They are always very nice folks, and I've had no problems with them!
Glad to hear you're home!
And thank you for the comment on my art post, just knowing you saw my post makes me feel that much better about myself. Silly I know LOL
JASMINE!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! I missed you girl! Erika and I got to have a lovely chat with your Matty on Saturday night, lol. He missed you TERRIBLY. I was away from my Zachary too so I could relate =(
Airports suck, lol. This is why I don't fly. I've had to wait THIRTEEN HOURS before in some random location that I had to stop and switch planes at. NO fun! And you are SOOOOOOOOO right. The whole "We are sympathetic to your situation" doesn't help worth sh*t!!!!!!!
I'm glad you had a wonderful time visiting with your family! :)
Sorry about your flight home! That's terrible! :(
Welcome back! Sorry to hear the flight sucked so bad, but glad to hear you had a nice visit! Looking forward to see what's on the drawing board next......!
glad to see you are back. often the airlines try to avoid telling you this, but if your flight is cancelled, they are required to put you on the next available seat on a flight on a different airline, and they are required to pay for the ticket. not reimburse you, a representative comes over and signs something and off you go. this costs them mucho dinero and they don't like to tell you this, they would rather you sit there endlessly and wait. if you remind them about it and insist, they will put you on a flight with another airline so you can make your connecting flight and not be stuck. you are not stuck with, let's say, delta's flights. they will sometimes tell you no other airline has an available seat, but if you go to the desk yourself and tell the other airline your predicament, they will sometimes go over to let's say, the delta desk, and get the ticket comped for you.
it's a good thing :-)
glad you had fun and you are back, i pulled this manuever several times, used to travel a great great deal, so i think this at least used to be the rules, just fyi ;-)
That's the impression I was under - but (like you said) they kept claiming that there were no other flights open (yeah, right). Eventually after much arguing and tears I got on this crappy little charter plane, ugh, which was a total drag. It too was running a couple of hours late, and we landed long after my connecting flight was scheduled. However, as luck would have it, the connecting flight was running 2 and a half hours late as well, so I hopped right on! So, one thing I can say about Delta - at least their flights are consistently late!!!
Welcome back! It's goo that you had a nice visit, despite the trouble getting home!
hehe, I meant to say "good" not "goo"!
I'm so glad your home safe and sound! We missed you! I'm sorry your flight home was so bad :(
