I color my roots :) I've had gray hair since I was 13 prolly for being such a worry wart lol! But I now know the reason why you do ;) Spray stuff?
Have fun at the wedding!!!
The last time I dyed my hair, Carrie sent me a link to some neat sunblock that you spray on your scalp! I really need to get some of that... my sunburn on top of my head is peeling, and it looks like dandruff almost - bad for dark hair...
OW OW OW!
I just dyed mine this afternoon, Brazillian Tan. I left it on 20 minutes extra and it darkened to a coffee bean color! Unfortunately, I had to do it to cover grays. : (
Do mix your own? I do, I mix natural black, dark brown and cover grey. =) I only color roots because I don't like the feel of dyed hair =\
I mixed it as far as opening one container, then another, and pouring one into the first and shaking! LOL I hate picking colors, cause I can't see my head while I'm looking at the boxes. I have a bridal shower to throw this weekend though, so I don't want people to see me in my natural state. : D
Well have fun doing that wedding shower! Wish I were as girlie girl as you, I usually run the opposite way when I hear "shower party". Though I did get pulled into throwing one for someone who was practically a stranger! - it's ain't gonna happen again! Uh -uh!
Leanne, you feel a little weird discussing this with me on this thread? LOL! Looks like the rest is ignoring us anyway so we're coo' ;)
Uh how about them dragoncon eh? =D
Lol, feel free to use my journal for your personal hairdye forum anytine ;)
Ah, I'm not actually sending anything to sell, just the sample prints and bio to go with the Epilogue portfolio thingy that Chad's bringing. Next year though I'm planning on doing the whole convention circuit! I'll have my new Epson 2200 by then so I can offer archival prints =)
After we get a house (prolly in two or three years, lol) we're going to build a frame shop for my husband Matt. He's an accomplished framer (he managed Michael's frameshops for years) and does gorgeous work. He'll be my official framer/matter =)
oh cool! let us know how it goes with dragoncon!
I'm just sending a few sample prints and a bio/website advert for the Epilogue booth there. Next year though (after I get my new printer that does the archival 80+year prints) I'm going to hit a bunch of conventions!
Aww! You burnt your head again :( Oww!
I need to get my two prints together too :) LOL! I was hoping that the would of accepted something else of mine in my last group of rejects. Oh well kitties is all the get from me.
Sorry about your head :(- I know what you mean though-I have dark brown hair with fair skin & I have thick hair, but I still manage sometimes to get the part on the side that is exposed burnt. Must be the FL sun. I hope you do go to Dragoncon one yr. I went there about 3-4 yrs ago & I got to not only meet my fave comic book artist- Joe Lisner, but he took 2 rolls of film of me it was neat. The convention has a really fun vibe to it.
Banana Boat makes an inexpensive spray on sunscreen just for hair. Bumble & Bumble made a really good one (Sun Spray) but I don't think they do anymore. I think Phytologie makes one, too. I also found this link
. Glitter is good. :)
OMG - that stuff is made for me! I'm going to order some - thank you!!!
If you can't get it through them, let me know. My local drugstore carries it (cheaper, too), so I can always send some your way.
Oops! Forgot to post earlier...could you bring along a disk of photoshop when you come up?
