It is indeed ;) Only the best for me, lol! You can't beat .49 cents... I've tried every sort of acrylic paint out there, in every price range, and this is honestly my favourite!

I like to sit and pick out the paint colours on your desk that I have =) I enjoy folk art the best, but Americana is my second fave =)

I buy Folk Art, Apple Barrel, Americana and Delta Creamcoat. I like all of them really, but maybe Creamcoat the best? Hmmm....

Watching you paint Jasmine is fascinating! It's like magic...how a little face starts apearing on your canvas! Lovely!

Does American paint ever get very sticky? I tried a few of them and they were very globby and such.

I stick with liquitex, though I hate their transparent paint... all paint should be day-glo! :D

Americana is pretty consistent, as far as texture goes. If you have a very old bottle (like a couple of years old) or if the lids are not shut tightly it will settle or turn into sticky ribbons, ew! I usually use them up so fast though, it never is a concern.

Interesting.. I must have just gotten a bad batch then. I've had that happen with liquitex too (the medium viscosity stuff). If its old its like mush in a bottle.

I do remember Americana being VERY thick though which is a good thing. :D

It is good and thick - very opaque! I always prefer opaque paints - transparent ones always end up pissing me off, lol.

EXACTLY!! And it figures because there are some very cool colors that are transparent.... they should be opaque. :) ehheh

Is that a mermaid or sea spirit?

Hmmmm... she's not a mermaid, just some sort of water sprite. She has little lacey wings, but she's in the water...

All I can say is, Jasmine you are a font of inspiration.

And of course, I can't wait to see the finished piece! Ever since I was too busy painting and lost the bid on the Tiger Lily painting, I've been watching for one I like as much.....
