Good night! [Jul. 21st, 2003|11:29 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
We just got home from Downtown Disney - we had dinner, did some shopping, had fun. Earlier today we went to the beach and had a blast swimming and body-boarding. Tomorrow morning we'll be taking mom to the airport so she can go back home to Kansas City, and after that I'll be painting like a madwoman! I've got so many ideas, I don't know where I will begin...

try boogie boarding if the waves are small, it's fun, if the waves are not too small make sure you are wearing a shortie wetsuit ( so not to get scratched by the sand ) and fins so you can go fast if you need to, it's a blast, i started doing that and moved into some very novice surfing, the boogie boarding i did on the east coast, the surfing in hawaii, but very novice and always with a group, with the boogie boarding i got a little wilder ( and got scratched up a few times, hence the wetsuit tip lol )

boogie boarding can be a blast tho give it a try :-)

How fun!!! We've got two little boogie boards - nobody showed us how to use them really, but we have fun, hehe. The waves at the beach we usually go to are very mild, comparable to a "wave pool" like you'd see at a waterpark, and the water is warm. Not very rough - probably a good place for Midwesterners like us to get our feet wet (no pun intended...).

We really should get some wetsuits anyway - we like snorkeling a lot, and with a wetsuit I can stay out longer without getting chilly! Even with 80 degree water, it's still a good deal cooler than my body temperature and eventually that gets to me. It would be easier for me to keep up with Matt then (he's a stocky build, and I'm on the scrawny side).

wetsuits can be a good thing, my wetsuit, which I've had for a long time, is from O'Neill ....

I LOVE snorkeling too :-)

Although this lake is paradise, I do miss the Ocean a lot, I grew up about one block away from the Atlantic Ocean, and I adore the ocean ....
