Busy day! [Jul. 14th, 2003|09:41 am]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
I've got a million things to do today - I need to get ready for my mom coming to stay with us. Her flight comes in tomorrow at around noon, and she'll be here for a week!

I need to get about half a million things sent to the post office (well, almost), we need to clean up around here a bit, buy some mom-specific groceries (like coffee, hehe), etc. Matt works tonight, so I'll try to get everything done with him during the day and I'll be painting all this evening/night (I'll post the cam link when I'm ready!).

I've got a bunch of email to sort through before I go to the post office - my website got several orders last night (and a couple from my eBay store - thanks intricateartist!) and I need to contact everybody and enter their orders paid/not paid, etc. Wow, I go 12 hours (including overnight) without checking my email and everything piles up!

You're sooooo welcome! I can't wait to see her in person!

You should probably start looking for an assistant, just wait until the book is released! You're going to be swamped! Would Matt be willing to hang out full-time and handle the administrative stuff? I mean heck, you could pay him for his services in so many ways. hehe ; )

Have fun getting ready for Mom!!

That's kinda the plan - eventually at least. Once we buy a house we're going to set up a framing and matting area for Matt to work (so I can offer framing with my paintings, matted prints, etc.) He used to manage a frame shop for several years, and he's very good at it. I need to teach him how I make my prints and package up everything and stuff too!

That sounds like a great plan! Man, I envy you - I wish I had my shit together at 24, you seriously "got it goin' on"!
