I chose Stevie only because if you're thinking about doing a painting, I think Stevie would make a great subject to work with!
but otherwise, probably Trent Reznor, because he's just so... well, listening to his music makes me feel like the blood is draining from my body, so, uh. :-P
Sting would make too cute of a vampire.
Mick Jagger would be too weird of a vampire.
David Bowie would probably be as good as Trent, but I think Trent is more suitable.
if I could do a write-in, I'd pick Tori Amos!
Hehe - no - this one's just for fun, not for a painting. I'd like to do a portrait of Stevie sometime though (or use her as a base model at least) - she's just so beautiful!
Tori's a good choice too!
Well, it was a VERY close tie between Bowie and Reznor. I chose Trent though, due to his MASSIVE experiences with alternative lifestyles, and although Bowie may look more like a vampire, Trent just has this vampirical (is that even a word?) quality to him that his hard to explain. He looks like the walking dead. I am suprised Marilyn Manson was not a choice though.
Although in all honesty I think if I had a choice I'd choose both Trent and Bowie.
Stevie Nicks? LOL I'm not too sure about that one...=\
Matt always draws parallels between Trent and Lestat de Lioncourt from Anne Rice's books - there are a lot of similarities there! Marilyn probably would have been a good option too =)
I think Stevie does have possibilities - I just read an interview with her about how she uses witchcraft to keep her youthful...
Really? I've never read interviews like that =) Although I have never really been a true fan of hers to tell you the truth. Her voice kind of aggrevates me. I know that is silly, but its just how I am =\
Carrie told me they were making a musical based on "The Vampire Lestat". How cool would it be if they got Trent to play Lestat? I mean, I doubt he would unless he could write the music, but GOD that would be awesome. I really hope they don't turn it into a "typical" let's sing every two minutes and be HAPPY musical. Supposedly Elton John is writing the music for it, so that should be pretty interesting. I think it would absolutely rock to have Trent actually compose the music for it.
i chose mick jagger, do i really need to explain why? trent is to obvious, stevie is to sweet and fae, bowie is the same as stevie only hes a man and sting is to much like an angelic sort of person, if that makes sence. mick jagger is exactly what i would expect from a rock star/vampire.
Definitely! Heck, they even play a cover version of "Sympathy for the Devil" at the end of "Interview with the Vampire"!
Actually, I think all of them are a little vampiric - which is whey they're on the list, hehe.
i can actually see a little vampire in all of them but sting, what is it that you see in sting?
I was just listening to "Moon Over Bourbon Street" by Sting, and it sounds like it's definitely from the point of view of a vampire. Also - he doesn't really age, and has maintained popularity over a long time, and he lives in a castle in Europe =)
ah, i did notice that non aging thing he has going, ill have to listen to that song sometime :)
I've always thought that David Bowie wasn't human, so I had to pick him...he always has a strange glimmer in his eyes and his teeth look like fangs, hehe.
David Bowie has very interesting eyes. First of all, they are two different colours - one blue, and one brown/hazel. Then, when he was 12 he sustained a head injury which caused one of his pupils to be dilated much larger than the other, which looks very unusual!
He had to make up a story like that for his cool eyes. He is a tricky one. I bet they let him do all his special effects in Labyrinth. Hiring a vampire for the role of Jareth was probably a money saver!
It's Stevie for sure anybody that sexy has got to be a vamp -ire!
i chose stevie b/c she just looks so young.....she must be undead!
Why did you have to put Trent and David on the same poll? They are both vampires, duh! I had to choose David Bowie because I believe he is probably the eldest(in vampire years of course).
The Trent and Anne Rice connection is a concern. David Bowie is not as hidden about his vampirism as Trent is. Sometimes Trent wants to be left alone, so another reason I did not choose Trent is out of respect. He might not enjoy the exposure.
David Bowie, obviously, because he has the crooked Britsh rock star vampire teeth.
I mean...just..just..LOOK at him!
I saw Trent Reznor drinking a bloody Pina Colada in Trader Vics ( I mean ... the Rainbow ).
His hair was purple.
Hehe, that's vampire not werewolf ;)
perhaps not mutually exclusive conditions? ;-)
( there are prolly more vampires in hollywood than there are werewolves practically anywhere, including London.)
i picked stevie because, despite her age, she manages to say incredibly beautiful and youthful...plus, only a vampire could manage a wardrobe that amazing. ;)
Everyone will probably think me odd on this, but ever since I first saw Labyrinth when I was eight years old or so, I have had a weird crush on David Bowie. I think he is so damned sexy...more like "sensual" and "captivating" - seducing qualities I find highly likely within Vampire beings. And that voice...*quivers* Teeheeeeee....

David Bowie is like from another planet, so why not a vampire? =)
i have chosen Stevie Nicks because:
a)David Bowie has had his fangs filed, and it is possible he has renounced a vampiric lifestyle just as he renounced his alternative sexuality.
b)I know a little about Trent Reznor but not enough to think he's definitely a vampire.
c)Mick Jagger would LIKE to be a vampire, but I'm not so certain he has the oomph. Although using Sympathy For The Devil at the end of Interview With a Vampire was a brilliant move, it must also be observed that the version used was by Guns 'N' Roses and I think we can all agree Axl is not a vampire by proxy.
d)Sting might be one of those things that's been bitten but not totally transferred over yet. Or I bet he would get his blood at a blood bank. But maybe I underestimate him. His mild exterior might hide a multitude of dark and violent urges.
Also Stevie is very youthful looking and diva-like and definitely likes to suck the life out of those around her. For example, on her last album she exploited the youth and talent of many artists such as Sheryl Crow and the Dixie Chicks... and she may very well think... and one might very well agree with her... that with the quality of their product, they might as well give their energy and life to a greater cause...
Very good reasons! It looks like she's in second place after Mr. Bowie.
Yeah, that GNR cover of Sympathy made me cringe. They should have used Mick's original version - that would have made it a perfect movie =)
