Hello again, I was just wondering if you've looked into DeviantArt yet? ~Kevin
Actually, I was looking there at a friend's gallery this morning. I think I might join - I sorely need to update my Elfwood gallery too, but the mods there are on vacation for a few weeks, lol.
Thats a cool painting Jaz... totoally reminds me of the Titanic! Oh and the Ophelia bit is great =)
And Jasmine cranks out YET another cool painting!!! Gosh girl - do you EVER sleep? Or do you sleep with a paintbrush in your hand?
I really dig the Ophelia addition - cool!
Jasmine gets the least amount of sleep of anyone I have ever met. We have been together for over 6 years and she seems just to get stranger and stranger.
I do sleep, on occasion =) I've been a perpetual insomniac since I was in middle school though - I'm just not a sleepy person. I mean, why sleep, when I can paint?
Oh, this is wonderful.
It is really very detailed. Love the marble. I love the little skull you added to the staircase as well.
I love the little details in this, especially the skull! I was watching on the webcam yesterday and saw the picture frame at the top of the staircase, I was wondering what you were going to put in it! Very nice, as usual :)
Your staircase is magnificently impressive, I like the way you've captured the golden guilded bannisters perfectly-gold is one of the hardest colours to replicate, but you've made it look easy.
Wonderful work Jasmine.
Oh LOVELY Jasmine!!!! Perhaps you drew the future =) I could certainly seeing you living in a house as grand as this one in the near future =) Although I hope you are not clutching the urn of someone you love =(
I LOVE the fact that you incorporated the Ophelia painting! That just makes it look even more like a place where you would reside =) Amazing!
Man!just like you said "Detailed" Is that Marvel..yeap it is..and oh that is one of your paintings hanging on the wall..that is tight!!.

"The Magnificent Staircase" Gets a Good Home
I just wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE Jasmine's "The Magnificent Staircase" painting. This is my first Jasmine Becket-Griffith painting, and the fact that it was painted over the coarse of my birthday, June 29, makes it all that much more special to me. It was my birthday present to myself! I have it hanging in my computer room and look upon it with almost a hypnotic gaze. It's just so captivating! Typically the main focus of one of Jasmine Becket-Griffith's painting is the figure, however in this painting the staircase is truly the focal point. The figure standing to the side is compelling, no doubt, and has such a forlorn look which speaks to me as if begging my help while clutching the urn. The replication of Jasmine's "Ophelia" painting in the background is also genius, which makes this even that much more of a highly unique piece. What is the connection between these two figures? What's in the urn? Where does the staircase lead? Is the figure in the foreground beseeching you to understand her loss or is she pleading you not to go up the stairs? This painting just keep drawing you in on so many different levels and really makes you stop and think about possible answers. I LOVE IT! Thank you Jasmine for a truly inspired and utterly complex piece of work, "The Magnificent Staircase". I will cherish my birthday present...my Precious!
