Gosh darn it! I just got your e-mail, went to look and they were already bought! :P
My goodness you ROCK!!! You is one talented lady!!! I can hardly wait to see your stuff in about 5 years. You're gonna blow us all away!!! I just spent about 800 bucks in my mind on your stuff... (sigh)... (wistful) Would you possibly consider a trade sometime maybe? Art for art...?
Thank you!!! Coming from another talented lady, that means a lot to me!
After I get all my furniture bought and some bills paid off, I'll probably be a lot more open to trades! Matt is particularly impressed with your quilts (the Ent especially!).
kinda unrelated, i just saw the hansel and gretal one and it is gorgeous! i wish i had the money to bid on it!
WOOHOO! You go GRILL! That's awesome that they sold in about two seconds. ;) I hope people don't criticize me when I post my minis...I can just imagine you getting swarmed by fan e-mails because "bandit_art is COPYING you!" ;)
Lol - don't worry, if you get any letters like that just send them my way ;)
Mini paintings are nothing new - they were most popular during the Victorian era (where people would paint entire little scenes the size of a dime, and that sort of thing!).
;) Jasmine to the rescue! I've just started gaining interest in art history...I need to study it relentlessly so I can know my shtuff! I know minis aren't new, though...but people like to dish the dirt, even when there is only water.
I see you painting...looks like water color or something...
Yep =) I'm doing a little watercolour....
Watercolor is fun. I haven't worked with it since around November, though. I should pick it back up to prepare me for other painting mediums. I'm thinking of creating some anthromorphs in watercolor considering animals are great fun to create with it.
i LOVE those!!! i hope you'll be doing some more....
Those are soo cute Jasmine! You should do more of them when you have time. I would of bought one but I'm holding out for a nice sized original from you some day :) I'll get some $$ together some day and have you paint a commission just for me.
I'm planning on doing a bunch more minis when I get back home! I've got tons of canvas scraps that are dying to be painted on. I might do some weird sizes, like 3"x12". But, they'd be harder for the winner to find a frame for....
Cool! Michael's 50% off custom framing coupon would take care of that problem. Bring on the funky sizes :)
