Hi everybody! LOTS of art news for today!

#1 Thank you to all of you who came out to see the "What Big Eyes You Have" group show opening - we had an amazing time! Both of my original paintings at the show have sold, but they will be hanging for the duration of the show at CityArts Orlando (open 11-6 Tuesday-Saturday), so you can totally still go & see them! Luckily too - now I have the prints & limited edition canvases for both pieces available online now!

#2 The two new paintings are "Delusions of Grandeur" and "Stilleven I: Slak en Schedel". Even though the originals were sold, we now have the signed open edition prints and the Limited Edition Hand Embellished Canvas Prints up online for sale - yay!. "Delusions of Grandeur" prints & canvases are now HERE on eBay. "Stilleven I: Slak en Schedel" prints and canvases are now HERE on eBay.

#3 SO many of my Limited Edition Hand Embellished Canvases have been selling out lately, it's a little crazy! I now have the final #25/25 "last chance ever" auctions up for "Poe," "Belle of Bonaventure," and "Wicked Witch and Glinda". Once these auctions end, no more of these Lt. Ed. canvases will ever ever ever be made. Click HERE for the #25 LAST Belle of Bonaventure on eBay. Click HERE for the #25 LAST Poe on eBay. Click HERE for the #25 LAST Wicked Witch and Glinda on eBay. Further down in this update is some more info about other canvases that are now sold out or nearly sold out too!

#4 The new "Fairy Mischief" tabletop card game featuring my artwork is now up for pre-order! The gaming company "Fun to 11" has created a magnificent new game called "Fairy Mischief" and has licensed my artwork for the project. It has turned out amazing! Their company uses Kickstarter to fund & set up the pre-order system, so in order to guarantee that you get your copy of the game you need to CLICK HERE to go to their project page. The page is up for the next 22 days and you'll need to pledge a $35 amount to pre-order your game. Just click the big green button at the top that says "Back this Project" and you can checkout through Amazon. $35 gets you the game (add $25 for international shipping if you live outside the US, please). The game will actually ship this autumn (great Christmas gift!). Aimed at girls ages 5-12 , and also fun for grownups to play along, each game set consists of TWO 42 card decks (with my fairies on them of course), set of sixty-two coloured gems in a deluxe pouch, two play mats, rules, all in one nifty box set. Definitely check out all of the photos, and the videos - of me in my studio, of the girls playing, details about the gameplay & the project, etc.

#5 Good news! Pop Gallery at Downtown Disney now has my book in stock! This means you can drop by Downtown Disney West Side at the Walt Disney World Resort and pick up your copy early! Then on April 13th (from 7-10pm) bring it to the gallery for my Book Signing Party (details are HERE ) so you can get it signed by me as well as Amber Logan and Kachina Glenn (my sisters, the other two authors of the book). Not local? You can also order by phone if you would like a copy shipped to you - in fact, if you ask them nicely, they can wait to ship your book until after Amber, Kachina & I sign it for you on the 13th. Just call them at (407)827-8200 and tell them you'd like Jasmine Becket-Griffith's new book (and tell them if you want it shipped as-is right away, or if you'd like them to wait & mail it after we sign it on the 13th!) . They can ship the book worldwide! (407)827-8200. Books will also be available on Amazon and from bookstores within the next month or two, worldwide).

"Delusions of Grandeur" and "Stilleven I: Slak en Schedel"

Delusions of Grandeur

20"x24" Original Acrylic on Panel $5800 SOLD

Lt. Ed. Canvases $125 available now - CLICK HERE

Prints & posters available below

"Delusions of Grandeur" - a piece that debuted as part of the group show "What Big Eyes You Have" in Orlando. "Delusions of Grandeur" is one of my favourite psychiatric terms, referring to one has an over-inflated notion of their self-importance. This painting reflects this somewhat - on first impression it may appear to be a simple lovely Rococo portrait, but upon closer inspection you will notice that it is all a facade - the mural is peeling, the mirror is cracked, the fabric is torn and stained, the fruit is attracting flies and nothing is quite as grand as it first may seem. The original itself sold at the show but I have prints & posters available! This is my own original acrylic painting and was painted on a wood/masonite panel.

Prints SIGNED by me on the back are up at our StrangelingEmporium eBay store here:

Delusions of Grandeur 8.4"x10" prints are HERE for only $9.99

Delusions of Grandeur 12.75"x15" prints are HERE for only $19.99

She is also available in my Etsy shop as prints (also signed on the back by me!): Strangeling on Etsy

And the Limited Edition Hand Embellished Canvases are in my Strangeling eBay store (or contact me directly at JasmineToad@aol.com - they are 11"x13", hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, are $125 and are numbered out of an edition of 25) here:

Stilleven I: Slak en Schedel

16"x8" Original Acrylic on Panel $3300 SOLD

Lt. Ed. Canvases $125 available now - CLICK HERE

Prints & posters available below

"Stilleven I: Slak en Schedel" - a piece that debuted as part of the group show "What Big Eyes You Have" in Orlando. This "Stilleven" (Dutch word for "Still Life") - is the first in a series of works I have planned that feature "deconstructed" elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with faeries & nymphs (of course!). Slak en Schedel means Snail and Skull (both of which feature prominently in this piece) - a lot of fun details in this one, all popular elements included in historic Dutch still life paintings. The original itself sold at the show but I have prints & posters available! This is my own original acrylic painting, it was painted on a wood/masonite panel.

Prints SIGNED by me on the back are up at our StrangelingEmporium eBay store here:

#25 Last Chance Lt. Ed. Canvas Auctions for "Poe," "Belle of Bonaventure," and "Wicked Witch and Glinda!"

SO many of my Limited Edition Hand Embellished Canvases have been selling out lately, and I don't want anybody to miss out! I now have the final #25/25 "last chance ever" auctions up for "Poe," "Belle of Bonaventure," and "Wicked Witch and Glinda". Once these auctions end, no more of these Lt. Ed. canvases will ever ever ever be made. Each is wrapped on boards, ready to hang, hand embellished by me in acrylic paints, signed, dated, and numbered #25/25 ('cos they're the LAST ever made). I won't be making any more, this is a true "last chance" for each of these Lt. Ed. Canvas prints!

Click HERE for the #25 LAST Belle of Bonaventure on eBay.

Click HERE for the #25 LAST Poe on eBay.

Click HERE for the #25 LAST Wicked Witch and Glinda on eBay.

Now - you can always get the signed paper prints, open edition canvases & posters that aren't embellished and aren't numbered - those are not being sold out. These are for the Hand Embellished Limited Edition canvases - the ones I actually go in myself and paint with acrylic details, etc. I only make 25 of each of these, and these are the last ones.

Things are going crazy here at home as far as canvas print selling goes, so there are also several other canvases that have sold out (as of THIS MORNING!) - so later tonight (around 7pm EST) I will also be listing the #25 Canvases for Angel of Starlight, Loup-Garou: Noir, and Strangely Lonely. They are sold out now too. It seems like every day another canvas (or four) sell out their editions, so please please if you have your eye on a favourite one up at strangeling.com, or my Strangeling seller ID on eBay, or at Pop Gallery - any of the Limited Editions - order it while you can. I can't gurantee that many of them will even still be around tomorrow or next week, eek! In addition to my newest paintings (which are selling very quickly) even some of my older pieces from the past decade are nearing sell-out too in Lt. Ed. form. You've been warned! ;)
