Celebration Spring Arts Festival - new art show for me - also ACEOs & Masquerade Ball sale! [Feb. 18th, 2009|05:37 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Hi everyone!

Very exciting news for you tonight! I'm very happy to announce that I have a new art show event to invite you to - the Celebration, Florida Spring Arts Festival! Finally, a great show here in my hometown! It'll be April 4th & 5th - not that long from now really. More details follow below - I go every year and it's a great festival, but this is the first year I'll have a tent there myself! I also have a bunch of new ACEO Cards for you today, and also "At the Masquerade Ball" prints are now on SALE this week!

First - as I mentioned - the Celebration Spring Art Festival! It's in my beautiful hometown of Celebration, Florida! It is Saturday & Sunday, April 4th & 5th. It is right in the middle of town - "Downtown Celebration" right up and down and around Market Street, the lake, all the shops, bars and restaurants. FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL - I'll be there at my tent with the largest array of original paintings I've ever brought to a single show. Celebration is one of the most beautiful towns in the world, built and designed by the Walt Disney Company, and a great place to visit (and hey - it borders Walt Disney World property - can't beat that!). 140 artists, live music, great food, palm trees - come out and see me! Celebration is right off 192 by Disney, just MapQuest it or click on the links above. Then stay on Celebration Avenue and follow the signs to downtown Market Street! Can't miss!

Even before that show, I'll be doing MegaCon in Orlando, don't forget - Feb. 27th- March 1st!

To see these and all other upcoming appearances/art shows (info about Dragon*Con & FaerieCon coming up this fall too!) - visit my appearances page here:

Next good news - my "At the Masquerade Ball" is now available as SALE prints this week - only $9.99 for 8x10s and only $20 for the BIG 12x16 prints!

Now for the new art - for more info about ACEO cards, how I make them & what they are (basically tiny hand embellished one of a kind canvas prints, trading card sized at 2.5"x3.5" and highly collectable), consult the individual auction descriptions - they are each one of a kind and are awesome! All are starting at a penny, with no reserve for seven-day auctions ending on the afternoon of Tuesday February 24th 6:00PM - 6:09PM Central Time!

Reading that just reminded me of following directions to Celebration & you go down Celebration Street to Celebration Ave, past Celebration Place, around the bend from Celebration Road! hee hee!! Paul & I were like "CRAP! this is confusing...can't they call some of these streets something else? hahahahaha" :D
Congrats! Easy peasy for you! You guys could even run home if you forget something!

I was in Disney Land Paris over the weekend for the first time in my life and I was blown away by the cuteness of the buildings and such. The little windows and cute crooked roofs etc.
So when you say that Celebation was designed by people who made Disney, does that mean you have little buildings like that there too? Or something that looks like it.
I always thought that Disney was rather fake and tried too hard to get that aged look to their parks but I was very wrong. Its completely different in real life, now I see. I also see where you get your insiration from!!!

I'd love to see the park in Florida next, but I don't know if I will ever get there :-)
I am happy for you that you get to do a show in your home town, it must be super exciting and rewarding too. Well done.
