Back from London, with lots of Wolves and new art... [Aug. 2nd, 2007|07:19 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Hi everyone!

I am back from London! WOW I had a WONDERFUL time. I'm still reeling from it. What a fantastic city, I can't wait to go back. My cousins Annie & Matt were such wonderful hosts/tourguides, it was such a great vacation.

I will do a proper "vacation post" with photos, thoughts, etc. very soon, I promise! I also have several paintings planned, based on my trip!

For now though - I have TWO wonderful new paintings (one HUGE FRAMED painting and another one up for auction!) for you, and a couple of Canvas Prints of some of my newest paintings now in my eBay store, as well as some great WOLF sale prints.

The first one - "Butterfly Sunset" is my latest original painting up for auction on eBay! It is a colourful, but thoughtful piece - it features a dark haired fairy girl with beautiful butterfly wings and a trail of butterflies behind her. She has a magnificent dress and is standing in front of a gorgeous sunset! It measures 16"x20" and is an original acrylic painting on a sheet of canvas. She's up on eBay starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve....

The second one - "Raised by Wolves" is my latest "masterpiece" to be sure. It's the largest painting I have ever offered for sale, and surely one of my best. A beautiful nymph (perhaps a lycanthrope?) surrounded by her wolf pack family (LOTS of beautiful wolves!). And guess what - it is FRAMED! Yes, you get the FRAME too - and it is beautiful!. Framed by my wonderful husband, Matty. She is up in my eBay store at a fixed price where she will remain until purchased (otherwise I'll take her with me to the Fall conventions of Faerie-Con and Dragon*Con, so grab her if you like her now!) - you can see her below....

Click HERE to see "Raised by Wolves" 41"x29" FRAMED ORIGINAL PAINTING!

To see any other available originals, just visit my Original Paintings section of my store here:

If the original is not in your budget, the Limited Edition Hand Embellished Canvas prints for "Raised by Wolves" are now up for purchase in my eBay store here:

Click HERE to see "Raised by Wolves" 16"x11" Lt. Ed. CANVAS PRINTS - these are truly the next best thing.....

"Raised by Wolves" is also one of this week's SALE prints! Also I have the SALE Prints for "Wolf Manor" (it's a wolfish week!) up on sale now too.

To see them all together visit the SALE section of my store here:

Click HERE to see ALL THE WOLF SALE PRINTS!

or individually...

"Raised by Wolves" 8x10.5" SALE PRINT $10 & "Raised by Wolves" 12x18" BIG SALE PRINT $20

and

"Wolf Manor" 8x10" SALE PRINT $10 & "Wolf Manor" 12x16" BIG SALE PRINT $20

and the "Wolf Manor" Lt. Ed. Hand Embellished CANVAS Prints are in my eBay store HERE!

Enjoy! I've got a lot of catching up to do, painting, getting ready for Dragon*Con, etc. Hope everybody is well! I'll do a trip report post soon!

Wow Jasmine, Raised By Wolves is stunning! I love the eyes in this one. Your use of yellow is gorgeous and I don't even like yellow.

Thank you so much!

I'm NOT a fan of yellow myself either. In fact I have often completely neglected it, as far as art goes. I'm trying to incorporate a fuller spectrum of colour into my paintings now, so I was definitely experimenting with the integration of yellow into this piece, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Welcome back! And both of these paintings are GORGEOUS. I love them both. I know Butterfly Sunset will quickly go past my budget but I am going to try anyway :) Beautiful work as usual.

Hi Jasmine! I'm glad you had a good time on holiday. These 2 new pieces are stunning! As I was looking at them it occured to me that your faeries have grown up with you. Your faeries always look like you and these new pieces you can see a more mature inner fae, with magick and secrets that weren't there before. You truly do amaze me, great work as always!
ps. I am for sure getting print versions of raised by wolves! My collection seems to be ever growing.

Thank you Louise! ::blush blush::

I do see what you mean =) I also think I've gotten a lot more technically proficient at painting over the years. I was comparing my current body of work to my paintings from a year or two ago, and then that of 10 years ago, and I can definitely see a progression, in a positive direction!

I am glad you had a lovely time :) I take London for granted as it is only 50 miles from where I live, I really should appreciate it more.
