Couple of paintings, and Zodiac & Lizard talk. [Apr. 4th, 2007|07:19 pm]
Jasmine Becket-Griffith
Got a couple of new paintings, but they already both sold with the buy-it-nows (yay!!!).

Hey though - they are still really cute to look at, so I thought I'd post them here for you all to see

"Princess with a Pink Flower" FRAMED ORIGINAL PAINTING

"Peering Out Again" ORIGINAL PAINTING ON WOOD

I really enjoyed painting on the wood one especially - I think I'd like to do more like that, where they're kind of looking 3-d like a trompe d'oeil type of thing.

Poor Matty is feeling under the weather today. I'm probably going to spend the rest of the evening hanging out on the couch with him and maybe watching movies or something.

Hey - some of you might be happy to hear this (judging on the amount of emails I get, lol) - I am going to be buckling down and finishing up my Zodiac series. Honestly. I started on Capricorn today and will hopefully have her finished by tomorrow.

Something is going on with our house! What the heck? In the past three days we have gotten three lizards in our house. No worries - all of them were safely caught and returned to our backyard before the cats saw them. I don't know how they get in. Maybe they squeeze under the back door? They're always hanging out by the kitchen. Matt & I are very, very careful going in and out of the house, looking for lizards, so I don't think they come in when we do. So far since we've lived here we've safely extricated each lizard, but I worry that sometime one of our cats will get one. They always try to get them through the window screens. Our backyard at any given time has probably 100-200 lizards in it (mostly Green Anoles, Cuban Anoles, spotted Anoles, the occasional geckos, etc.), but they typically hang out on the rocks or on the fence and in the garden, etc.

I'm thinking about buying a butterfly net, so I can catch them better when they come in. Usually now I use a piece of Tupperware or something.

At any rate - enjoy the new paintings, sorry they are sold already, but tomorrow I will hopefully have "Capricorn" done, so that should be fun!
