Have you ever thought of Tarot card ACEOs?
That is really funny...I asked her the same thing awhile ago. Her work would make beautiful Tarot cards. I read and collect and would love to add one she does to my collection.
I'd buy the heck out of them myself if I could afford good artwork. I think her work would make beautiful Tarot cards as well, and I'm picky about how my cards look!
Which decks do you have? I have the Witch's Tarot, The Thoth deck (not crazy about but good for learning), The Londa Deck, The Crow's Deck (also by Londa), and the cosmic tarot. I do believe there is a deck by Salvador Dali that I would love to get my hands on but the metaphysical shops around here are becoming few and far between.
Her work would make lovely tarot cards. I am picky about my cards too. I have been asking everyone to add her prints to my christmas/birthday present list ever since discovering her. Hopefully someone will listen.
Unfortunately all of my Tarot cards were kept by my former fiance, so I have none at the moment. I can't even remember them all to be honest. I had The Unicorn Tarot, The Moon Garden (wasn't a favorite and I had trouble adapting to them), a Universal Tarot or something similar that I had gotten in a kit, and I forget the names of the rest. I had six decks at one time. I'll have to look at the ones you have listed. I'm trying to find the right deck that I think I'll take to well.
I have actually started a couple of different tarot decks in my life, hehe - I never finish them though - it is difficult to commit to a series that will be 78 paintings long, lol. I am planning to at least attempt the Major Arcana someday soon.....
First I gotta finish up my Zodiac series, people won't leave me alone about that, lol.
Yeah, get on that too, will ya? ;) I am eager to see more of those, so I'll be glad when you are able to get more painted.
I've heard that it is very difficult to do a Tarot series because it is so long and usually the details are expected to be top notch. If you ever do finish, please make sure to post about it. That's one deck I'd gladly buy.
I'm still amazed that you can paint so quickly. It seems that way from this end anyway. Maybe not so much to you. ;)
Oh my yes, I would definitely let you all know if I do get a deck going!
I might end up doing a non-traditional type of oracle/divination deck with maybe 20-30 cards. That would be easier to commit to, lol.
I do paint quickly. I think it's because I have so much practice at it that I don't get bogged down with mistakes and I don't have to re-do anything any more, which is good! Keeps me fast, lol. I typically have it all laid out in my head first, so it's just using my hands to translate it into paint, if that makes any sense =)
I think the non-traditional deck would go over just as well. A lot of people seem to be gravitating towards them.
And it makes perfect sense when you say your hands translate what is in your head into paint. I understand completely! :)
Wow jasmine she is beautiful. i think i may have found just the right fairy to finish my chestpiece. If its okay with you i think id like to use her. don't worry i will definatly send pictures when its done. (that is of course if its okay with you) i've been searching for the right thing to offset my huge sun and dolphins and i think she might just be it.
Thank you so much!!! Wow!! That woud be AWESOME! Please do send me photos - I have that new section on my website here: http://www.strangeling.com/fairytattoos.html
- I would love to show it off. I think it would make for a gorgeous tattoo!
Sea Star is BEAUTIFUL!! And the Charity drive is a GREAT IDEA! Good luck on collecting high bids for Red Cross.
Thank you Carmel!!!
So far so good - already way up over $100 for the charity drive - it makes me happy that I'm able to contribute my talents for something meaningful to me.
The Star painting is lovely. I bid...but was outbid right away. :-p
Do you think you'll ever add ACEO's or your Mini's to your commission price list?
Thank you Bethany!!! I'm very happy with how she turned out =)
Oh my, that is been a common request lately, hehe. Unfortunately I think there is just no way - I'm already booked up months ahead of time with my regular full-sized commissions, I am sure that with the demand for the lower-cost small sizes it would be impossible for me to add them in there too. I'd never get to paint my own ideas again, lol. Maybe sometime I'll offer up a couple of custom ones for fun, but it would have to be after the holidays - I'm already booked up through the Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Etc. season - eek!
Hmmm...well, I can understand that. If you ever decide to, please be sure to let me know! :-) I'm just dying to get an original from ya. ;-p
I'm really glad that business is so good for ya!
Will do ;)
I think part of it is because last year I got so many last-minute Christmas commissions and had to turn people away, so this year they all started hitting me up in August, lol. Can't complain though - busy is good!!!
Oh she's stunning! *___*
I wish I had money. x_X; You're work is so beautiful!
Thank you very very much!!!
Oh my god....Sea Star Fairy took my breath away. I have to buy the print of this....have to!!
Thank you so much! She really has a special quality to her. I kept thinking about the sea and the magical properties of water when I painted her, and I think that it shows through into the painting.
wow-two comments on paints in a row from me. but i have to tell you i really loved this. i love taking ruth out to the ocean and somehow this just reminded me of her. dark hair, big eyes, and all. really a sweet painting jasmine.
Thank you Jillianne =)
Oh! I can certainly see what you mean - the round face and big beautiful eyes - with the ocean spray in the air...

She's so beautiful! I love the dark colors and the mood of it!
Thank you Neva! I like working in a very limited palette sometimes, it brings a different sort of "mood" to a piece.
Beautiful and enchanting!!! ^_^
Gosh, girl - these last 2 have a different "something" to them - and I love them!!! Your work is such an inspiration!!!
And good luck today... (((hugs)))
ps your kitties are enjoying much adoration, as I show them to EVERYONE! LOL!! I'm even working out a trade with someone to have my beautiful ancient Art Nouveau gas stove sandblasted and powder-coated! Looks like I'll do a kitty-quilt commission for his wife in trade! Yippee!!
Thank you Wendy!!!!! >^___^<

I think it is exceptional that you are donating to hurricane Katrina victims. So many are now. I fear, however when the news crews go to the next sensationalism...that the generosity of many will also go away. Say Hi to Matt for me.
