Hi everyone! I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - for my upcoming (well, 2012) calendar - a holiday painting for December- "Christmas Candle" and she is LOVELY- and she's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! And also, since you all keep asking - yes, I will be self-publishing my 2010 calendar shortly, so keep an eye out - it will be very soon and I'll be sending out the link! It's a little late (oddly enough) because I've been working on my 2012 calendar (gotta pick up where those Mayans left off, mwahaha) which is a mass-marketed published calendar for retail stores. Yes, the traditional publishing world moves a little slow - they are planning the 2012 calendar already in 2009, hehe. So that one (featuring the new painting most likely) will be in stores in a couple years =P But the new 2010 calendar (available online) will be up soon, and I'll definitely let you all know! I'm back from FaerieCon!!!! With new art - "Mechanical Angel III," new Faces of Faery.....	[Nov. 10th, 2009\|06:17 pm]
Hi everyone! I'm back from FaerieCon! Just now got home! It was our best FaerieCon ever, hands down. Had a fantastic time seeing all of you, and sold just about everything, hehe! We've confirmed that FaerieCon will be back in the same Hunt Valley venue next year around this time too, and I've already signed up! Thank you ALL who came out! Also I have some vacation ordering information regarding my upcoming absence while I'm at FaerieCon in Baltimore next week. All righty - the new big original - "Owl Butterfly Triptych" is the title - this truly is another masterpiece! One of the most impressive collaborations between me & my husband Matt so far! For those art history buffs, this is a true FOLDING TRIPTYCH - done in the medieval altarpiece style. In the past, many churches would have folding altarpieces that they would unfold on Sundays or on holidays to display the painted interior. This is one done in high Gothic style - a solid poplar wood triptych (three paneled painting) first cut & carved by my lovely husband Matt - and then finished by me in an antiqued gold leaf finish. It is THREE original paintings in one - it features a beautiful fairy creature in the central panel surrounded by beautiful butterflies and autumn leaves. This piece is inspired by the butterflies of the Caligo genus, which through mimicry camouflage themselves with an owl-like pattern (down to the eyes!) on their wings. On the left panel there is a lovely hoot owl, and on the right panel there is a caligo butterfly with some autumn leaves. A the top of the central panel, forming a sort of "window" I have painted the sky with butterflies trailing off into the distance! And yes indeed - it has hinges and folds closed - it is way cool. We're very proud of this one! A good size - 21" high and about 14.5" wide when extended. One of my best paintings to date - please do check it out! All ready to hang - this can truly make your house look like a Gothic Cathedral or a fine art museum! Original acrylic painting on solid poplar wood with gold leaf and metal hinges. Jasmine's BIG HALLOWEEN SALE & New TATTOO GALLERY update!!	[Oct. 8th, 2009\|09:23 am]
Hi everyone! Two bits of great news for you today! Firstly - I'm running a HUGE HALLOWEEN SALE up at eBay - tons of my Halloween prints - even my brand new "The Scarecrow" are all up on sale for only $9.99 - so many to choose from!! And as always, you only pay shipping on the first one - all additional sale prints ship FREE! And in other good news - this will probably make some of you very happy - I have UPDATED MY TATTOO PAGE! Firstly - the tattoo page - YES I have updated it! I've restructured it into an "album" format, this way it will be much easier for me to add new tattoos on a daily basis if need be. No more long waits to get your tattoo added! I've put over 500 photos of your tattoos up. Wow! You guys rock! Each album holds 200 photos so right now there are three albums. New Faces of Faery CUSTOM PAINTING AUCTION, new ACEO cards etc...	[Oct. 5th, 2009\|07:41 pm]
Hi everyone! I have a brand new original painting for you - very special auction for one penny - a CUSTOM PAINTING - of a Faces of Faery - it'll be #41 - the winner of this auction gets to tell ME how to finish painting her! This will be FUN! In addition I have new ACEO Cards: "Angel with Ferrets," "Faces of Faery #34 (Steampunk)," "Faces of Faery #35 (Day of the Dead)," and "Faces of Faery #36 (Wicked Witch from Oz)," all up on eBay for a penny! First off is the new original painting - a CUSTOM Faces of Faery - this is the 41st in the series. The winning bidder will receive the painting in the photos, but first they will get to tell me the following: Haircolour/Style (I can make it shorter, curly, add bangs, whatever you'd like) Eye Colour, Makeup Skintone, Freckles, Tattoos Wings if you'd like me to fit some in (note the size & placement of the face on the panel, it'd be a hint of them or very small ones) **I could potentially add a bit of ornamentation like paint in a butterfly or flowers in her hair, earrings, leaves, something along those lines. Faces of Faery all feature beautiful faery-inspired creatures, and she is no exception. This big eyed beauty is to be painted just for you! After the auction ends, I will email you and YOU will tell ME how to finish her!
