Hi everyone! I have TWO NEW ORIGINAL paintings for you and both start at just ONE PENNY on eBay! They are two of the originals from my "Faces of Faery" series - both are lovely! Hi everyone!

I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - I LOVE this one! One of my best yet! (I say that a lot, lol - but that's the way it should be!) - "Befriending an Alligator" is the title - and it is BIG and adorable - and it's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! This is a GORGEOUS painting! I promise too, the alligator is not very scary!

All right, the new original painting! I love this painting! I live in Florida and I love the swamps & alligators here, which inspired this painting. I sometimes see half a dozen alligators on a single bike ride around my neighborhood, and while at first it can be daunting, after awhile they become a glorious part of the scenery! (From a safe distance of course!) These little faeries have stumbled upon a lovely great alligator and are attempting to befriend him. Luckily they probably have some sort of "befriend dangerous animals" charm, so you don't have to worry about them too much! This one is a unique size & shape - THREE FEET WIDE and 12" high - would look lovely over a sofa, bed, mantlepiece, kid's room, over a doorway, you name it! It's all READY TO HANG too, Matt has already put hangers on the back. Hi everyone!

I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - a wonderful collaboration between myself & my husband Matt - "Madonna and Child at Night" and it is BIG and GORGEOUS- and it's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! All righty, the new original painting! "Madonna and Child at Night" is the title - and that's the subject exactly! Madonna and Child at Night" is the title - this truly is another masterpiece! One of my favourite collaborations between me & my husband Matt so far! This is one done in high Gothic style - a solid poplar wood panel first cut & carved by my lovely husband Matt - and then finished by me in an antiqued gold leaf finish. "Madonna and Child at Night"- the classic image of mother and baby, a sweet and touching scene in front a night sky (maybe even Christmas night?). The colours in this piece are gorgeous, and both mother and child have gold leaf halos - similar to those in medieval and renaissance art. I love how you can see the sky up through the gothic "window" arches at the top! A good size - 26" high and about 10" wide. All ready to hang - this can truly make your house look like a Gothic Cathedral or a fine art museum! And of course it is ready-to-hang - hanger already on back. Would make a fantastic holiday gift! Hi everyone! I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - for my upcoming (well, 2012) calendar - a holiday painting for December- "Christmas Candle" and she is LOVELY- and she's on eBay for just ONE PENNY now! And also, since you all keep asking - yes, I will be self-publishing my 2010 calendar shortly, so keep an eye out - it will be very soon and I'll be sending out the link! It's a little late (oddly enough) because I've been working on my 2012 calendar (gotta pick up where those Mayans left off, mwahaha) which is a mass-marketed published calendar for retail stores. Yes, the traditional publishing world moves a little slow - they are planning the 2012 calendar already in 2009, hehe. I'm back from FaerieCon!!!! With new art - "Mechanical Angel III," new Faces of Faery.....	[Nov. 10th, 2009\|06:17 pm]
Hi everyone! I'm back from FaerieCon! Just now got home! It was our best FaerieCon ever, hands down. Had a fantastic time seeing all of you, and sold just about everything, hehe! All righty - the new big original - "Owl Butterfly Triptych" is the title - this truly is another masterpiece! One of the most impressive collaborations between me & my husband Matt so far! For those art history buffs, this is a true FOLDING TRIPTYCH - done in the medieval altarpiece style. In the past, many churches would have folding altarpieces that they would unfold on Sundays or on holidays to display the painted interior. This is one done in high Gothic style - a solid poplar wood triptych (three paneled painting) first cut & carved by my lovely husband Matt - and then finished by me in an antiqued gold leaf finish. It is THREE original paintings in one - it features a beautiful fairy creature in the central panel surrounded by beautiful butterflies and autumn leaves. This piece is inspired by the butterflies of the Caligo genus, which through mimicry camouflage themselves with an owl-like pattern (down to the eyes!) on their wings. On the left panel there is a lovely hoot owl, and on the right panel there is a caligo butterfly with some autumn leaves. A the top of the central panel, forming a sort of "window" I have painted the sky with butterflies trailing off into the distance! And yes indeed - it has hinges and folds closed - it is way cool. We're very proud of this one! A good size - 21" high and about 14.5" wide when extended. One of my best paintings to date - please do check it out! All ready to hang - this can truly make your house look like a Gothic Cathedral or a fine art museum! Original acrylic painting on solid poplar wood with gold leaf and metal hinges. Matt has added a hanger on the back, so it is READY TO HANG!
